Landon Swink!!!!
Today we celebrated the 100th day as first graders! We started the day with a celebratory treat because we definitely have some "smart cookies" in our classroom! Next we decorated our 100th day shirts! Students wrote, painted, or glued 100 items on their shirts. They turned out super cool! Check out the slideshow to see all the kids shirts. Then we got our workout for the day in by see how many exercises we could do for 100 seconds. Last we completed a 100 day puzzle with a friend. The kids and I had a really fun day together! All About Mystery Student #1
I am a: boy Pets: Dog, Gunner 0 brothers and 1 sister, Macy Favorite Color: Blue Favorite Subject: P.E. My like first grade because I like AR. **Post your guesses in the comments! The mystery students will be revealed Friday! This week we learned about Dr. Martin Luther King and his dream was of making the world a better place. The students completed a writing activity about their own dream of helping the word and it was awesome to see their ideas! We had a excellent discussion before our writing about how different jobs help the world and the students talked about what jobs they wanted to do when they grew up. The kids had some amazing ideas! Here are the pictures I will be using for our hallway display-- some students choose to display their "dreaming" face while others got a little camera shy and just wanted to smile :)
Our class has its own website!! Woohoo! I hope you visit our website frequently to stay updated on class activities and news. Each Monday we will have a mystery blogger-- it will be a student from our classroom that will give us clues of who they are. So stay tuned for our first mystery blogger on Monday!
I will continue to use ClassDojo and email to share information but wanted to offer another alternative for students and families to show off all our hard work in the classroom (the kids love to see pictures of themselves!) Hope everyone enjoyed the snow days! Looking forward to seeing my first graders tomorrow! |
